Overview

BoundBreaker is a project aimed at young teams and companies in early stages of development in high-tech fields. It enables them to prepare for entry to the global market through Silicon Valley. It includes seven months of training through workshops and individual brainstormings.

The last part of the project is visit to Silicon Valley, where prepared teams present themselves to investors and strategic partners.

Phases

I. Conceptual Phase

Structure:

  • 1-3 colleagues / classmates / co-founders
  • In need of $25k – 100k investment from business angels, accelerators
  • Develop in the environment of the Faculty / Institute, garage, attic, …

Development:

  • Functional prototype / demo:
  • Written concept
  • The minimum set of functions (enough to operate the prototype)
  • Initial base of test users

    • II. Seed Stage

    Structure:

  • 2-5 founders / co-workers
  • In need of $100k – 1M investment from Business Angels / VC investors
  • Developing in incubator, technology park, …

    Development:

  • A functional Beta product
  • Business Plan
  • Proven marketing campagin (how you will advertise)
  • Proven solution/benefits
  • Estimated market size
  • Draft of a business model
  • The basic organizational structure

    III. An early stage / growth stage

    Structure:

  • 5-10 people on the team
  • In need of $ 1M – $ 5M investment from VC investors
  • Develop in the technology park, private business premises

    Development:

  • A functioning product
  • Client base
  • Business plan and marketing plan
  • Proven growth and infrastructure
  • Servicing clients
  • Integrated with market / distributors
  • Planned milestones / potential output
